Thank you for visiting Kid's Parties Are Us and for your interest in our services. Here you'll find answers to common party rentals questions important to know when you're renting equipment. Q: Does the cost include setup and delivery?
A: Due to rising fuel prices we charge a minimum of $25 to deliver. Delivery charges vary depending on where you're located.
Q: Does the standard 6 hour rental time include your setup time?
A: No. We arrive early to set up so you get the entire rental time to play.
Q: What can I expect the day of my party? How does the setup work?
A: That depends on how many rentals we have that day. Generally we arrive 1-3 hours before the rental time begins. If we have a lot of rentals that day, we may need to set up as early as 2 hours in advance. If this is the case, we will call the day prior to confirm that someone will be at the party location. At the time of setup we will review the rental agreement, and go over any questions regarding safety, proper use, and any other topic you wish to discuss. If payment has not already been made, it will be due upon setup of the unit.
Q: We’ve rented from some really dirty jumps from other companies in the past. Are they always that dirty?
A: No. The jump will be clean when you get it. Kid's Parties Are Us staff cleans and disinfects after every rental.
Q: Do we have to keep it plugged in the entire time?
A: Yes. A blower keeps air in the jump unit the entire time. Once unplugged they deflate. That's why we require an outlet within 50 feet of the unit or a generator. Longer cords can pop your circuit breaker so we bring our own heavy duty cords.
Q: Do you deliver to parks?
A: We love setting up at parks but most parks do NOT have electricity. If you want to set up at a park, you must rent a generator. Also, parks are first come, first serve so get your spot early in the day unless it has been reserved. (Park fee included $50 due to more safety and insurance risks)
Q: What method of payments do you accept?
A: Cash or credit card. If paying by cash, please have exact change. Drivers don’t carry cash.
Q: What if we need to cancel?
A? If you need to cancel let us know 48 hours before your party, we do not offer refunds, if you cancel due to weather or give us sufficient notice we will give you a rain check (valid for up to 12 months)
Q: How big are your bounce houses
A: Most of our jumps are 13'x13' which is a little bigger than many companies rent. Please note the space required for each jump (listed near the large picture) as some are VERY big and require extra space. When in doubt, measure your space to make sure it will fit. Jumps need room to be staked and they need room for the blower and can't rub against walls or trees as this may damage the jump. The sizes listed with each jump include the space needed for stakes etc. If you have stairs or a tiered backyard, please call our office to discuss options for setup
Q: What about the big units? Any special requirements?
A: Check the requirements listed with each jump. Also, make sure you have at least a 4 feet of access to the area where it will be set up. The jumps can weigh up to 650 pounds so we need a clear path with ample room.
Q: What surfaces do you setup on?
A: We can set up on grass (our favorite and best for the kids), dirt, asphalt, and concrete. Sorry, we can't set up on any type of rocks as the constant rubbing will wear through the vinyl jumps.
Q: Can we see a copy of your contract and safety rules?
A: Yes. You may contact us at 682-553-6834.
Q: Are we responsible for the unit if it gets torn or damaged?
A: Yes and no. You are not responsible for normal wear and tear on our units. Seams may develop tears in high traffic areas over a period of time. If this happens please alert us at once so we can remedy the situation. If however, damage occurs due to failure to follow our safety rules or negligence (i.e. not turning off the blower in high winds) you will be responsible for all damages up to and including replacement of the unit/blower etc which can cost thousands of dollars. We don't want you or us to be in that situation which is why we have you sign and initial on all of our safety rules so that you can be the trained operator.
Q: Does Kid's Parties Are Us have insurance?
A: Yes. Kid's Parties Are Us is state inspected, licensed and insured.
Q: Do I need an attendant?
A: There should ALWAYS be an adult supervising any inflatable. The most important duties of an attendant are limiting the number of children in or on the inflatable at one time, making sure that the children are all of similar size and controlling the behavior of all participants. Kid's Parties Are Us can provide an attendant for a minimal cost.
Q: What if I have stairs or hills?
A: The delivery team can not go up and down stairs. Our dollies are not built for stairs. Slight inclines are ok but anything in excess will be charged accordingly.
Q: Can we keep the rental overnight?
A: Our standard rentals are 6 hour rentals but for an additional fee you can keep the unit overnight if available. The fee must be paid in advance and arrangements must be okayed by management in writing (invoice). All overnights will be picked up before 10am the following day, unless a 2 day rental is made.
Q: Are there any cleaning fees? What about silly string or water? What if it starts to rain?
A: We expect to receive our inflatables back in a fairly clean condition. We realize that children in and out of it all day, can allow grass to enter by means of their socks. We will not charge for cleaning this. However since you will receive a list of general rules at the time of setup, any food, drink stains or not following any other listed rule of this nature will result in a minimum $75.00 clean up fee at the time of pickup. The inflatable will be inspected before it is picked up at your location.
A rate of at least $1,000 is applied if any silly string is found on the unit. If the damage cannot be remedied, the unit replacement will take place at the expense of the customer. Silly string causes irreversible damage to any inflatable.
Most inflatables are not made for water play unless they are specifically manufactured for water like our wet/dry combos and waterslides. It is not safe to play on them and it does damage to the inflatable. If water is placed on any unit other than our water slide, a fee of at least $100.00 will be charged. This covers the cost of cleaning and drying the unit and may cover the rental fee due to any missed rentals.
In the event of rain unplug the blower, remove or cover blower from rain and let the inflatable deflate.
